A surprising shift has emerged in how Americans watch TV – and no, it’s not all Netflix. Data shows that in February, people watched YouTube on their TVs more than any other streaming platform. That’s not just cat videos either – it includes premium content, music videos, and entire shows.

One reason is that YouTube seamlessly integrates with smartphones and cast-enabled devices, letting you flick a phone clip onto the living room screen. Another reason is the rise of YouTube’s curated channels and subscription bundles, which are nibbling away at cable. It’s even home to plenty of gaming streams and sports highlights.
