Donald Trump’s second term has been a blur: executive orders, unorthodox cabinet picks and big pledges to close the border, plus a newly launched deportation drive and even 25 percent tariffs on its close allies. After a few weeks in office, he has already signed more executive orders than Biden or Obama did in their first 100 days.

On immigration, raids ramp up. On trade, new tariffs hit steel and aluminium imports, targeting its closest neighbours, Canada and Mexico. The White House is also cutting funds for institutions that mandate Covid vaccines and revoking big climate policies. Critics say this approach is sowing chaos, but supporters argue it is a fast way to deliver on campaign promises.
