Now here is an interesting chart from the Financial Times. This is a topic that never gets boring, and to be fair it has been discussed ad nauseam long before Trump started his second term. The demise of the US dollar's global reserve currency status has been foretold, predicted and dreamed about by US adversaries. But now, under Trump's tariff ambitions and the US's burgeoning debt pile, there is renewed emphasis on when and how fast this could happen. And we are seeing this priced in with the decline of the dollar index.
