Elon Musk has a knack for making headlines, and this time it’s about tariffs. President Trump’s decision to impose 25 % tariffs on foreign autos had most carmakers fearing the worst, but Tesla seems fairly calm. Why? Because Tesla’s electric vehicles sold in the US are built in the US, at its Fremont plant and Giga Austin. That means it’s not importing vehicles from abroad, so those hefty tariffs won’t affect its retail prices as much.
