Good morning – here are your five chart for the day. Each one comes snap stat, quick take and why it matters. Skim, steal, forward (but always credit!!).

CHART 1 • AI models breeze past the genius bar

Artificial intelligence is no longer chasing human intelligence – it is lapping it. OpenAI’s newest text‑only model clocks an IQ of 135 on Mensa Norway’s gruelling test, comfortably inside the genius bracket.

Six rivals, from Anthropic to Google, also outscore the average human by at least a standard deviation. The outperformance is almost entirely a text game: once cameras switch on, the scores collapse. Vision‑first models such as GPT‑4o (Vision) stumble to the mid‑sixties, on par with primary‑school pupils.

The widening gap highlights how far large language models have leapt ahead on abstract reasoning while multimodal systems are still learning to combine sight and speech. Investors betting on the next productivity wave have fresh evidence that raw cognitive grunt keeps piling up – and fast.

Snap stat – OpenAI o3 apparent has an IQ of 135.

Quick take – Text‑only algorithms now clear the genius threshold with room to spare.

Why it matters – Higher reasoning power signals another jump in AI‑driven earnings and regulation risk.

Steal-this-caption – “ChatGPT has an IQ of 135. Why should I bother using my brain?” #FiveChartsDaily
