Five charts to start your day
Tis’ the season to be jolly, but every one just wants money for Christmas
Good morning! We are just a week away from Christmas. There is something magical about Zurich at this time of year. This incredibly beautiful city was made for Christmas. Over the weekend we got our Christmas tree, strapped it to the roof of our car and wore our silly Christmas jumpers (an anglophone tradition).
So, tis’ the season to be jolly and that’s what the first chart is about. What do you want for Christmas? Statista did a survey in the US and this is what they found out. It’s a bit depressing really. It seems all we want for Christmas is money – cash or a transfer.
I think Santa is going to be broke this year. And if you were confused with today’s artwork above, now you know why it is relevant.
